Grupo El Mercurio is a fair trade organisation in Peru. Displaced by terrorism in the 80's the women of El Mercurio have rebuilt their lives on the mountainside of Huancavelica city in the central Andes. The women started knitting finger puppets and the group has now expanded to over 30 and their product range includes knitwear and dolls.
