But wait there's more - both sides of this handbag have been woven with different coloured stripes - one minute you've got a handbag in green tones, then turn it around and its yellow and red tones!

All our handbags from Burkina Faso are one off's - no two are exactly the same. This handbag is made from Burkina cotton. The cotton is handwoven at the Village Artisanal where the talented artisans then create these beautiful handbags.

The Village Artisanal de Ouagadougou is located in Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso. It was purpose built in 2000 with international aid, to showcase the artistic works of Burkina's most talented artisans. With around 80% of Burkina's population surviving on less than US$2 a day, trade is one of the best contributions we can make to Burkina's economy.
