My experience across community services, youth programs, employment and business has shown me both the barriers people face and the potential that exists when the right opportunities are created.
Through Sankofa, I’m committed to bridging these gaps by combining cultural understanding, lived experience and practical support to create meaningful opportunities for individuals, families and communities.

In the field · with Uniting Communities
First steps, side by side.
A Friday evening in the Employment Pathways Program, delivered by Sankofa in partnership with Uniting Communities’ SETS. Sankofa worked alongside newly arrived migrants and refugees to prepare for employment and show how their education, skills and experience translate to the Australian job market. Several participants have since found work, and the program is continuing, accessible to more Uniting Communities participants.
