Questions

Before you ask.

Who can make a referral?

We accept referrals from schools, DCP, DHS, NGOs, support coordinators, community organisations, families, and government agencies. A few lines about the person and their goal is plenty to get started. See how referrals work.

Who are Sankofa's programs for?

Clean Start serves young people 15 to 24, CALD and multicultural communities, migrant and refugee communities, school cohorts, and community referrals. Other programs serve young people, CALD and refugee communities, and school cohorts. Who each program is for.

How does commissioning a program work?

An organisation, school, or agency refers or funds a cohort of its own people. Sankofa delivers the program and the reporting. We work in five steps: identify, adapt, deliver, measure, report. Partner with us.

Do you work with schools?

Yes. Three programs are available to schools: Clean Start, Mind In Mind, and Crafting Futures, delivered within your school and shaped around your calendar, from single cohorts to whole year level partnerships. Programs for schools.

How do you keep programs safe?

Programs involving young people are designed and delivered in line with child safe principles. Our people hold current Working with Children Checks and relevant worker screening clearances before they step into any program.

How are outcomes measured?

Every program tracks outcomes against its framework, from baseline to exit. Partners receive cohort reporting against employment outcomes and progression readiness, with cumulative outcomes reported quarterly.
